Islet Playing Cards by Karla Pruitt

Islet Playing Cards | Karla Pruitt

These beautiful playing cards by Karla Pruitt take me back to my early teen years, when my sister and I would take summer vacations with our grandparents and play game after game of Hand and Foot in the evenings and on the not so great weather days. Our cards weren’t nearly so stylish – we always played with the standard Bicycle brand – but the gorgeous, hand painted patterns and illustrations and tropical color palette in the Islet deck remind me of those fun summer days. Plus, flamingo queens and alligator kings? Gotta love that.
