I am head over heels for this clever collaborative collection of illustrated letterpress cards by Tom Froese (illustration) and Everlovin’ Press (printing), which offers a nostalgic look at the holidays from a refreshingly non-candy-coated perspective.
Inspired by the artifice and sentimentality of vintage Christmas decoration packaging, these cards aim to convey the true spirit of the holiday season – the ephemerality and, sometimes, the disappointment, along with a touch of the singular frustration that accompanies trying to put your string of lights back in the box the way they came, which, let’s face it, is just not possible without extraordinary amounts of time, engineering, and probably some heavy machinery.
Each card is printed on 130 # Bright White Coronado cover with a vellum finish and comes with a Grout Grey envelope by French Paper Co., plus a special little branded insert, also letterpressed!
