Crepe Paper Flowers from Morgan Levine

The crafts department from Martha Stewart Living recently started a blog (yay!), aptly named The Crafts Dept., and it’s already been such an inspiration. I love seeing what goes on behind the scenes, and the “Crafting on the Side” posts have been some of my favorites.

Last week, The Crafts Dept. featured Morgan Levine, who creates gorgeous crepe paper flowers in sizes both large enough to dwarf a flower vase and small enough to decorate barrettes and brooches. I saw you on Martha Stewart yesterday. What gram is the paper used? 160 or 180?

I am absolutely in love with Morgan Levine’s crepe paper flowers! I can’t wait to try my hand at them and then teach my three young nieces how to make them. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous.

Hi Morgan,

My name is Chloe Yune and I am eight years old. I am going to try to make your flowers and I especially like them because it would be hard to come up with a great idea like that on my own. I want to make them and sell them to make money for the Humane Society.

I think they are special.
