Jessica Claire’s Vintage Book Invitations

I was perusing recently relaunched blog, The Sweetest Occasion, written by Cyd Converse and filled to the brim with wonderfully inspirational party and wedding-centric eye candy, when I was stopped in my tracks. You see, I’d spotted the post on Jessica Claire’s wedding invitations, and I couldn’t go on until I’d explored every pixel of one of the most amazing invitation suites that I think I’ve ever seen. Squee, copper paper and wax seals! Double squee, hollowed out vintage books that hold the invitations! Every invitation is unique and fits perfectly into the vintage 1920’s, lock, and key theme of the wedding (see more images here):

Letterpresslove.com

Letterpresslove.com

Spark Stationery’s new website, letterpresslove.com, has the designer in me doing backflips of delight. These are metaphorical backflips, of course, since I don’t want to think about what would happen to my creaky body if I tried to do an actual backflip, but the site design is so awesome that I’m tempted! And Spark has equally awesome letterpressed print collateral to compliment the new website:

Okay, so I’ve obviously gotten caught up in the web and print designer kind of stuff, but Spark has a great blog where they showcase their latest invitations and other work, including the gorgeous letterpress lovebird invitations below, aka the Lucinda invitation set, one of 20 design suites in their new Wedding Love Album. Teal and brown, woodgrain patterns, super cute birds, wonderful modern design … love it!

A big congratulations to Spark Stationery on the new site!

Neither Snow Calligraphy

I haven’t been able to stop gawking at the Neither Snow site since I first spotted Mara Zepeda’s absolutely gorgeous calligraphy work the other day on Oh Joy! I especially love the pieces where the lettering is allowed to fall just short of breaking the confines of the envelope — such a great energy in this style. And white lettering on a dark colored envelope? Love!

Paperfinger Illustrated Table Signs

Paperfinger Illustrated Table Signs

Bryn Chernoff of Paperfinger Calligraphy & Design does some amazing work, and I’m completely taken with these custom illustrated table signs that she created for a couple’s rehearsal dinner. Each of the dozen table signs features an illustration based on something special to the couple, and images include Boathouse Row in Philadelphia, the Upper West Side and New York City skyline, and Syracuse University. My favorite is the Danville/Custard Cup (below). Love that little ice cream cone! You can see more of the custom signs over at Paper Tastebuds.
