Ms. Bliss and Laura Hooper Calligraphy

Laura Hooper Illustrated Wedding Maps

I know that more than a few of you out there are in the process of planning weddings. If so, or if you’ve already gone through it, you will undoubtedly identify with the future bride whose wedding adventure is chronicled in Ms. Bliss, a blog sponsored by stationer Crane & Co. about a bride-to-be who is planning her Adirondack wedding. She recently visited the National Stationery Show and has several pics from the event, and there’s much paper inspiration to be found in the blog.

While I was checking out Ms. Bliss, I discovered the wonderfully whimsical illustrated wedding maps (and other work) of calligrapher Laura Hooper. She also keeps a blog called A Lucky Orchid Wedding, which features many images of her more recent projects. Eye candy-licious!

Eco Friendly Paper : Happy Packaging by Rebecca Horwood

Eco Friendly Paper
Rebecca Horwood Happy Packaging Illustration

I’m absolutely loving this adorable artwork from Oxford, UK based illustrator Rebecca Horwood. Cheer up, sad packaging, you’ll soon be happily recycled, too!

Each limited edition original illustration is drawn in black pen on a recycled envelope — you can see an umounted example here — and features different cute characters that are unique to that piece.

You can see more of Rebecca’s wonderful work on her website.

Molly Jey Paper Sculpture

I’ve been working on a post about crafting with wood veneer and had hoped to have the post up by the end of this week. However, I’m discovering so much information that I’d like to do more research before I post about it. So, be on the lookout for it sometime next week!

Until then, enjoy these gorgeous paper sculptures from Molly Jey. So peaceful and evocative of spring:
