The Feed Your Soul Project by Indie Fixx

Feed Your Soul

Feed Your Soul

Indie Fixx recently launched Feed Your Soul, a project that focuses on the positive during these not so positive economic days. Every month, Indie Fixx will share free art from artists that have been invited to create prints for the project. This months artists are Samantha Hahn, Jessica Gonacha, and Indie Fixx’s own Jen Wallace.

Just seeing this generosity lifts my spirits! Find out more about Feed Your Soul and, if you’re an artist, see how you can contribute over at Indie Fixx.

Trine Tealight Candleholder

Trine Paper Candleholder

Trine Paper Candleholder

Swoon…this laser cut paper lotus flower blossom tealight holder is incredible. Created by Singapore’s Trine Design Associates, the candleholder features three rings of intricately patterned petals that feature traditional floral motifs found in Chinese, Arabic, and Islamic art, respectively.

These three cultures represent the majority of Singapore’s population and cultural heritage, and the lotus flower is symbolic of the wish for peace and hope for the nation. – via The Dieline

The Paper Apartment

The Paper Apartment

I was introduced to the work of Boston-based The Paper Apartment through a post on decor8 and just had to post about their delicate and lovely line of paper goods. I’m completely taken with the ruffle and bubble note cards, which feature hand cut edges, and the wonderfully etherial illustrated cards, also available as prints.

JHill Places I Have Never Been Series : Pittsburgh

JHill Pittsburgh Print

As a native of the Pittsburgh area and a huge Steelers fan (go, Sixburgh!), I was so jazzed to see this print from the Places I Have Never Been series by JHill Design. Black, gold, and full of Pittsburgh’s trademark bridges, this print really makes me want to hop on a plane and fly to the ‘Burgh for a visit.

Check out the entire series, which includes many colorful, wanderlust-inspiring prints from places like Alaska, Finland, Japan, and Zimbabwe. – via Design*Sponge

Paper Art by Rebecca Niederlander

Rebecca Niederlander

As soon as I saw the images of this installation by Rebecca Niederlander, my mind relaxed and I went off into daydreamland. Much to my delight, I discovered that this particular art installation, which can be found until the end of June at the Vincent Price Art Museum at East Los Angeles College, is called “…and now is the time for dreaming”. It really is dreamy and fluffy…and it’s made out of paper! So inspiring. – via Design*Sponge
