Tag Team Tompkins Paper Cut + Calligraphy Prints

Urge to squee rising … squee! Omigosh, how I love everything that Tag Team Tompkins ever created, even the things that I haven’t yet seen. The hand lettering? Swoon. The paper cut art and silhouettes? Double Swoon. Letterpress prints of the aforementioned hand lettering and paper cut art featuring some of my favorite quotes ever? I think I’m going to faint because I’m swooning so hard.

Okay, I think I’ve gathered myself enough to tell you that Diane and Madeline, the mother/daughter duo who are Tag Team Tompkins, create these gorgeous works of art centered around word play and expressing their love of paper, ink, and a bit of wisdom/humor. In addition to letterpressed versions of their delightful creations, the duo offer original works lik the “Dire Warning” series, a few of which you can feast your eyes on below:

Tag Team Tompkins creates hand lettered and paper cut art featuring quotes for everyday show, but the letterpress prints that I’m sharing here would be especialy perfect framed as elegantly whimsical Halloween decorations.

Jen Skelley Fish Screen Print

I’ve previously expressed my love for Jen Skelley’s illustrated exotic birds and their cute, feathery foof, but I’m equally excited about her awesome illustrated fish print. The limited edition, four color screen print features all sorts of wonderfully psychedelic patterned fish in various shapes and sizes. So much fun!

Brittney Lee Paper Sculpture & Illustration

It was love at first sight when I spotted the work of Bay Area based artist and animator, Brittney Lee. How absolutely sweet are her birdie mini prints (above)? I’m seriously coveting all of them. But I’m equally amazed, if not more so, by her paper sculptures. The ornate works of art are absolutely stunning, and I can’t get over all of the little details featured in each piece. State Bird & Flower Papercuts by Cindy Ferguson

I look on in absolute amazement at Cindy Ferguson’s state bird and flower papercuts, which she recently completed for a show at Blonde Grizzly in Salt Lake City. When I think about the fact that she hand cut these intricate silhouettes for all 50 state birds and state flowers, with an additional papercut of the entire United States, surrounded by a beautiful array of flowers and birds, I can feel my jaw wanting to drop to the floor.
