City Transit LinePosters

The subway (or the “T”, if you’re in Boston) is one of my favorite things about the city but, well before I lived here, I had a certain fascination with city transit systems and subway maps. To this day, when I’m waiting for a train, I find myself being drawn to the line maps that are posted at each station. It might seem odd to wax poetic about something so utilitarian, but there is such a graphical beauty to subway line maps, and I was delighted to find LinePosters, a shop that carries line drawings of city transit systems from around the world.

Do you have a particular system that you’d love to explore? Though it looks somewhat intimidating, I would be so happy to explore Tokyo’s system. Maybe one day!

Little Things Studio

Little Things Studio’s shop is filled with a wonderful collection of art prints and greeting cards that combine uplifting and encouraging quotes with fantastic illustrations and patterns by Mississippi-based surface designer, Kate Thomas, and I really had a hard time choosing just a few of her paper goodies for this post because there are just so darn many great ones! London Love

With the London Olympics coming up in just a few weeks, I can only imagine how energized the atmosphere in the city must be right now. And, as an unabashed anglophile, I would be remiss if I didn’t do a little celebrating in the name of this wonderful city. So, I’ve combined my love of all things British with my love of paper and put together a little collection of paper goods that spread the “London Love”. Hope you enjoy!

Mixies Cards

If you love vintage illustration (and I do!), then these cards from Present & Correct will be right up your alley. The “Mixies” feature fun illustrations from 1956, including characters like a poodle on a unicycle and a roller skating bear, and each set of 3 can be framed and hung as wall art. A great idea for a child’s room or to add a little bit of amusement to any room, really.
