Weekly Wrap

Nested Gift Boxes

Smock just released a bunch of beautiful new paper goodies, most of which I’m hoping to see in person very soon at the National Stationery Show (booth #2241), and I’m all aswoon over their new nesting gift box and reversible gift wrap designs. Talk about great color and pattern.

Head on over to Smock to see these and all of the new goodies – lovely letterpress cards, notebooks, workbooks, and scratch pads included – that are new in the shop.

Weekly Wrap #114 : Cute Animal Treat Boxes

Weekly Wrap

Cute Animal Treat & Favor Boxes

I just added a trio of animal treat & favor boxes – a baby chick, a sheep, and a bunny – to the k.becca shop, and I think that they’d be a cute, last minute addition to Easter baskets, as well as making sweet favor boxes at a baby shower or children’s party!

For those of you who have digital die cutting machines, the box templates are available in SVG, DXF, and GSD formats, and a printable PDF with templates and assembly instructions is also included in each download.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and if you celebrate, Happy Easter to you, too!

Something Good by isavirtue

Send Something Good Isavirtue

Who doesn’t love receiving something good in the mail? The anticipation and excitement that comes along with opening a package, peeking at a postcard, or a reading a snail mail letter from a friend never fades. Inspired by the fluttery, happy feelings associated with getting mail, Kaitlyn from isavirtue created a new line of modern paper goods called “Something Good”. The new line includes everything from address labels and envelope seals to envelopes, postcards, and tissue paper bearing the simple yet evocative statement, “something good”, which will undoubtedly bump those feelings of anticipation and excitement to the next level. I mean, if it says it’s something good, then it must be something realllllly good.

A cool new project, corresponding with the launch of this fun new paper goods line, is launching this Thursday, April 5, too! “Send Something Good”, an idea thought up by Gentri Lee, is a great big online postal project that’s kind of like a giant, online round robin, where participating bloggers will receive the address of another blogger so they can send them something good. Kaityln is anticipating hundreds of participants, and if you would like to get involved and get something good in the mail, then head over to the Isavirtue projects page on Thursday for more details. Participants who wish to use “Something Good” products as part of their parcel can receive 20% off with the code SENDSOMETHINGGOOD.

Sweet Gender Announcements

Sweet Gender Announcements Palm Papers

I love me some mini envelopes, washi tape, and confetti so, naturally, it was swoon at first sight when I spotted these sweet, custom gender announcements by Lauren of Palm Papers. This announcement concept is so much fun, and I have a feeling that everyone who received one of these pretty little creations couldn’t wait to open them and reveal the big surprise.

Here’s what Lauren has to say about this darling project:

Courtney and her husband, Ryan, don’t live near their family, so they wanted to do something fun to announce the gender of their baby (to be born any day now!) Knowing she wanted to do this from the beginning, Courtney planned ahead and told their parents the date they would find out was a week later, so she wouldn’t have to field their questions.

I designed both cards (‘sugar and spice and everything nice’ and ‘snips, snails and puppy dog tails’ ) so they would be ready to go as soon as Courtney and Ryan found out the sex. She dropped them in the mail and waited for the excited phone calls.

I know everyone loves getting mail, and I can only imagine receiving such a nice surprise. I bet they ripped that envelope open immediately!
