I’m always delighted to find Happy New Year greetings in my mailbox after the hustle and bustle of Christmas has passed and we enter into the quiet time after the holidays. These unexpected greetings keep the holiday spirit going strong, and they’re also a great alternative to holiday cards for those who don’t celebrate Christmahanukwanza. The 25 Gift Tags of Christmas

Technically, there are more than 25 gift tags here, but there are 25 different photos of gift tags, and that’s what inspired the title of this post. Plus, “The 25 Gift Tags of Christmas” has a ring to it, so I’m goin’ with it!

A Letterpress Christmas 2010 : Starshaped Press

This year’s lineup of new letterpress holiday cards from Starshaped Press is, simply put, beautiful. Available greetings include gatefold-style, Art Deco-inspired cards, created from Starshaped’s vast collection of 20s and 30s era typefaces and ornaments, which were used to hand-build both the type areas and imagery for the cards.

Letterpress cards from the Ornamental Holiday Collection feature intricate pattern and imagery, also created by hand with ornaments from Starshaped’s studio. Amazing stuff!

The intricate pattern and bold typography in Starshaped’s new letterpress holiday photo cards are absolutely swoonworthy, a perfect compliment to your favorite family photo. These beautiful cards can also be personalized for an additional fee.

New Advertiser : Thomas Printers

I’m very excited to welcome Paper Crave’s newest advertiser, Thomas Printers, a letterpress printing studio that specializes in working with designers, individuals, collaborators, and fellow printers on projects that range from custom letterpress wedding invitations to stationery, business cards, and collateral systems. Thomas Printers also has their own custom line of custom wedding invites, as well as an Etsy shop for collaborative projects, letterpress greetings, and other paper goods.
