On My Wishlist : Uppercase Magazine, Issue #8

I’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of Issue 8 of UPPERCASE Magazine, and now it’s out! Paper lovers, including myself, will find it hard to resist the pull of the new issue, which focuses on the art of letterpress.

Each copy of the magazine includes a random piece of letterpress loveliness from The UPPERCASE Letterpress Sampler, a collection of donated pieces from over four dozen letterpress printers, as well as a random sample of a vintage matchbox label. Pretty cool, huh? You can pick up your copy of UPPERCASE #8 in their shop, and here’s a peek at some of the pieces that are a part of the sampler (view the entire letterpress sampler gallery, and the gallery of vintage matchbox labels, too).

Library Storybook Invitations by Constellation & Co.

I featured these unique library storybook wedding invitations over on Invitation Crush yesterday, but I just had to share them over here, too. The custom invites, created by Brad and Sara at Constellation & Co. for Micaline and David, are both beautiful and clever, and every little detail, from the letterpress printed initial emblem on the front of the storybook to the table of contents – the first page of Chapter 3, The Wedding (above) features the wedding invitation card – to the save the date bookmark, brings additional charm to this one of a kind wedding suite. Smile Lifestyle Patterned Letterpress Cards

I really like what Smile Lifestyle has done with pattern in their collection of letterpress animal cards. The use of different animal silhouettes to create the patterns on the cards is so clever, as are the cute greetings like “Love You Like No Otter” and “Owlways”, both of which would be great for Valentine’s Day.
