2010 Mother’s Day Cards, Part 1

Mother’s Day is coming up soon, and there are so many excellent card options this year that my roundup is going to be at least two parts. The more pretty cards, the merrier, no? Here we go!

afavorite always has such clever cards, and I’m loving their selection of Mother’s Day greetings. The letterpress bill (top) is absolutely fantastic!

Letterpress Food Snob Place Cards

Letterpress Food Snob Place Cards

These letterpress Food Snob Place Cards from Greenwich Letterpress totally made me laugh out loud. Do you know offhand what a cardoon is? How about a Chioggia beet? If so, then you might be a vegetable or root-crop snob, respectively. I love that the place cards categorize food snobs, and I think that the collection would be a fantastic ice breaker or conversation starter at a dinner party. Just be sure that your food snob friends are able to poke fun at themselves, or else things could get ugly!

I’ve been in full drool since discovering Swayspace’s portfolio of letterpress wedding invitation work, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t also show you the awesome letterpress annual report that they printed for Feltron (above — designed by Nicholas Felton). Pretty fantastic, right?

Here are just a few selections from Swayspace’s letterpress invitation portfolio. Ah, faux bois, gorgeous color palettes, and beautiful design!

Letterpress Baby Shower Invitations

Letterpress Baby Shower Invitations

My sister announced a few months ago that she was pregnant with her first child, and I’m so excited to be an auntie! Obviously, since I’m completely paper obsessed, my mind has been on baby shower invitations and baby announcements since I heard the news, and these awesome letterpress baby invitations, printed by Kathleen of Twig & Thistle and designed by her friend, Tara Lee, immediately caught my attention. I just love designs like this, where there are lots of little illustrative details to swoon over. So cute!
