I haven’t even stepped foot in Old Tom Foolery’s booth (#1550) yet, but I already know that it’s going to be a fun one. These captains of snark have mastered the art of bringing together nostalgia-inducing imagery with oh-no-they-didn’t humor, and their new goodies have me laughing so hard that I may or may not have snorted, and something has to be pretty darn funny to get me to snort.

Anywho, Old Tom Foolery has three new collections, including Words of Wisdom, which features excerpts from an unintentionally funny instructional book from 1891 (in art print form); Magnetic Poetry, a collaborative collection with sleek, mid-century style refrigerator backdrops and hilarous, “magnetic” sentiments; and Marquees – try to imagine these in front of your local church or Son’s of Italy – hilarious!

NSS ’12 Preview : Sky of Blue Cards

Sky of Blue Cards (booth #2059) is introducing lots of fun, new letterpress cards designs at this year’s National Stationery Show, including 16 new everyday greetings and 30 new seasonal cards. The simple, modern designs feature everything from bold, standalone typography to sweet, whimsical illustrations with clever, smile-inducing sentiments. Here’s just a bit of eye candy from the new letterpress collections:

NSS ’12 Preview : The Social Type

I’m so jazzed that The Social Type are making their debut at the National Stationery Show this year. I am so looking forward to stopping by their booth (#1869) and having a look at all of their fresh, modern greeting cards (plus, lots of foil stamping = yay!). Rumor has it that they’ll also be introducing a collection of gift wrap, and you know I’m trying my darndest not to squee out loud just thinking about it. We’ll see how long I can resist!

NSS ’12 Preview : Haute Papier + Dabney Lee

I can tell from these previews that the Haute Papier booth (#2046) is going to be an attention grabber. Two new lines will be on display, including a collaborative collection with Dabney Lee Stationery that features neon letterpress printed coasters and note cards with simple sentiments and eye-catching patterns:

And a shiny collection of gold and silver foil stamped pattern notebooks that are sure to dazzle any metallic-obsessed paper lover:

Pie Bird Press Spring 2012

Mmm … doughnuts. I always look forward to seeing what’s new at Pie Bird Press, whose ultra colorful cards are a feast – sometimes literally (that doughnut card is making me seriously hungry) – for the eyes.

Their Spring 2012 lineup features plenty of super cool cards embellished with both edible and non-edible goodies, and I cannot wait to see these cards and more in person in the sure-to-be-awesome Crow & Canary booth (#3024) at this year’s National Stationery Show. Sweet!
