Trendspotting : Chalkboard Holiday Cards + Invitations

The chalkboard look has been one of the hottest stationery trends of 2012, and I’m completely enamored with so many of the chalkboard-inspired holiday card and invitation designs that have been popping up over the past month.

This is a trend that only seems to be gaining momentum, so be on the lookout for even more chalky, holiday-themed designs throughout the season. Combined with beautiful typography and/or hand-lettering, this is a look that’s a definite attention getter.

Holiday Card Picks #1 : The Nimbus Factory + Quill & Fox

Holiday cards and calendars and gift ideas galore! In other words, it’s the start of the holiday season here on Paper Crave, and boy do I ever have some seriously awesome paper goodies to share with you over the next month and a half. I’m also testing out the Paper Crave Collections, a feature that I’ll officially roll out when the new site design makes its debut sometime this coming spring.

Collections will include all of my weekly Quick Picks, as well as holiday season-themed collections that will make it easy for you to reference anything that I’ve featured in a roundup (along with some extras that you won’t see on the main blog). The arrow graphic below will appear in any post that has a collection associated with it, and you can simply click the arrow to be taken to the full collection. I think it’s pretty neat, and I hope that you will, too.

Fun Thanksgiving Card Ideas

A chill wind is blowing and autumn leaves are falling all around us. You know what this means, right? Okay, so it mostly means that a massive storm is battering the eastern part of the U.S. (stay safe, everyone!), but it also means that Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

I’ve gathered up a few fun Thanksgiving greetings to share with you today, and I hope that they’ll bring a spirit of warmth, togetherness, and thankfulness to you and yours this year.
