NSS 2013 Preview : Wild Ink Press

Textile Inspired Gift Wrap | Wild Ink Press

Wild Ink Press (booth #2071) has many, many fantastic new paper goodies making their debut at the National Stationery Show this year. I am so excited that they’re introducing a collection of textile-inspired patterned gift wrap – yay, awesome gift wrap! And Wild Ink will also be debuting two new letterpress card collections – Idioms and Quotations – as well as a new letterpress calendar and notepads.

The Idioms card series includes clever cards that have fun little lines like “no one measures up to you” and “another birthday? piece of cake”, with simple hand-drawn illustrations that coordinate with each idiom:

And the Quotations card series features quotes from noteworthy people and fun die-cut windows that give you a peek at the hand drawn illustration that’s revealed, along with the rest of the quote, when you open the card. Love it!

Aurelie Guilerey for 1973

Aurelie Guilerey for 1973

I am completely smitten with these awesome illustrated greeting cards by Aurelie Guilerey for 1973. I love the retro style and texture, and I’m thinking that these cards would make wonderful little framed art pieces, too.

You can check out all of the available card designs over in the 1973 shop, and have a look at more of Aurelie’s fantastic illustrations right here.

NSS 2013 Preview : Hammerpress + Happy Cactus

It’s just about National Stationery Show time again! This year I’ll be there in spirit but, in reality, I’ll be up to my ears in moving boxes in preparation for an out-of-state move the following week (more on that later). However, even though I won’t be walking the aisles of this year’s show, I’m still as excited as ever to share a few peeks at some of the new paper goodies that will be on display!

Hammerpress (booth #1763) will be showcasing some amazing new items, including patterned gift wrap and a hand drawn badge series, both of which are beckoning, “Kristen, buy us as soon as you can” :

Happy Cactus (booth #2240) is launching a collection of eye-catching gold and silver foil stamped cards, as well as notepads, place cards, and oodles of hand drawn greeting card designs that feature great patterns and bright, festive color palettes:

Ferme à Papier

Ferme à Papier

Ferme à Papier, the gorgeous new stationery line from Cat Seto, had me at bonjour. Ferme à Papier, which means “farm to paper”, was inspired by Cat’s first trip to Europe this past October and takes her back to her roots in drawing and painting. The result is a wonderful, painterly collection of greeting cards, note cards, and art prints that looks like it just stepped out of an art exhibition. Parisian prepsters canoodle in cafés, delectable sweets beckon to you from the table, and rustic farms from the European countryside are a mosaic of rich, warm colors that pop out from the card fronts and prints which they inhabit. Can you tell that I’m digging it?

Ferme à Papier will be making its debut at the National Stationery Show in booth #2136 later this month. If you’re walking the aisles in search of something that will catch your eye, then be sure to stop in and check out this wonderful collection in person.
