Weekly Wrap #105 : Watercolor Hearts

Watercolor Heart Gift Embellishments

I wouldn’t have guessed that neon pink and kraft paper would go together so well, but this lovely gift wrap idea from Leslie of A Creative Mint sure showed me! Oh, my goodness, the hand-painted watercolor heart gift embellishments are gorgeous. And I love how the neon pink compliments the softer shades of blue and pink on each patterned heart. This project, a part of the “Color Me Pretty” series on decor8, has definitely set my creative gears a-turnin’.

Red & White DIY Gift Wrap Ideas

I am completely enamored with this collection of beautiful red and white do-it-yourself gift wrap and embellishment ideas from Better Homes & Gardens. The combination of reusable wood boxes, along with pretty handmade paper elements, is so very chic. And while some of the elements are holiday-themed, you can change up the colors and details of the handmade elements for any holiday or occasion. Head on over to BHG for more details about the projects.

Martha Stewart Gift Wrap Challenge

I spotted Martha Stewart’s Gift Wrap Challenge back in December but didn’t get the chance to share all of these great gift wrap ideas with you before the holiday break. Entries in the challenge included ideas from Something’s Hiding In Here, Shimtokk, Creature Comforts, and Hello Sandwich, and any of these super cool wrapping ideas can be used for the holiday packages or transformed to fit any other gift-centric occasion.

Weekly Wrap #100 : Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays

This is my last post of 2011, and it couldn’t have worked out more perfectly because it’s also the 100th “Weekly Wrap” feature (wahoo!). For this week’s post, I made simple patterned paper, wrapped it with some of Knot & Bow’s silver glitter twine (I bought the silver/gold glitter twine duo, and I absolutely love both), and made a special tag to wish all of you happy holidays. Thank you so much for helping to make 2011 a great year and for taking the time to read, comment, email, share, and check out what’s going on at Paper Crave. I truly appreciate it.

Enjoy your holidays, and here’s to a happy, healthy new year! I’ll see you back here in January with plenty of new paper cravings.
