Apologies for the lack of posting this week. I’m in the process of closing Beccalights, my online candle shop, and am working hard to keep on top of the orders that I’ve received since announcing that I’m closing up shop. As a result, posting on Paper Crave will be sporadic over the next couple of weeks, but I’ll be back to posting regularly soon!

Treeo Design is an environmentally friendly, upstate New York based shop that specializes in fun, modern gift wrap and gift boxes (it looks like they also have wallpaper and fabric designs on the way).
All of the paper that Treeo uses in their products is FSC Certified, which means that no trees were unnecessarily harmed during the printing of their products. They also use vegetable based inks to print their designs.
I’m quite partial to Treeo’s “Pompom Chicken” design, available on both gift boxes and gift wrap, which I find absolutely irresistable!

I’ve talked about the trend in plantable cards previously, and I love the idea of a card that keeps on giving and is friendly for the environment. Since I also love to cook with fresh herbs, I was naturally drawn to these plantable pretties from Porridge Papers. The set of five letterpress cards is printed on Porridge Papers’ handmade, herb embedded papers, which grow into basil, chive, parsley, dill, and thyme when planted. This is such a wonderful concept, and the cards would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves to garden or cook. $15.00 for the set.
If you’re interested in handmade papers, Porridge has some fantastic lines, including the Super Tasty Collection, the Super Fresh Collection, and the Super Dazzle Collection.

I first discovered Rochester based Pistachio Press through their collaboration with INK + WIT on an awesome 2008 letterpress calendar. There’s plenty of eye candy to be found in their line, which includes letterpress stationery and wedding invitations (drool…see above). In addition, Pistachio Press offers custom design and printing.
Check out their portfolio, or shop online at Pistachio’s Etsy shop.

I was so excited to find out about Louella Press’ gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous engraved wedding invitations. Their website is an absolute feast for the eyes. Louella creates custom work (example above) in addition to carrying a full line of invites, and they have letterpress notecards, too. Thanks for the tip, Cat!

Check out these super cute boxes from A Little Hut. The flower and heart boxes would be perfect for small Valentine’s Gifts, wouldn’t they? You can purchase templates for all four of the cutie patootie boxes for $3.99. Templates for matching cards are also available. Neato!

I love interesting patterns, so naturally I was quite attracted to these retro modern patterned cards from San Fransisco based Swizzlestix, whose colorful and funky patterns decorate aprons, placemats, coasters, kitchen towels, and pillows, in addition to greeting cards.
Cards are $2.25 each and are available at the Swizzlestix online boutique.
