I’ve been a fan of Hable Construction’s textile design for quite a while, and I was so excited when I saw that they had branched out into gift wrap design. Hable has created five exclusive designs for Garnet Hill this year, featuring everything from whimsical holiday wreaths to peppermint candies to elf boots. Available online only from Garnet Hill. $10.00 per design, or buy all five for $40.00.
Be on the lookout for more gift wrap posts in November!

Spotted in yesterday’s Daily Candy Boston — a wonderful greeting card service called Jack Cards. The Boston based company allows you to browse cards from over 40 independent, hand-picked designers, including Amy Smyth Made It, Binth, Bumble Ink, Herman Yu, Night Owl Paper Goods, and Red Cap Cards.
Here’s the special part: after you’ve signed up (membership is free) for their service, Jack Cards allows you to add contacts and purchase cards for those contacts. You can have your chosen greetings sent to you by a specified date, optionally pre-stamped and/or pre-addressed, so all you have to do is add a personal message or greeting and pop the card in the mail. Very convenient!
Bonus: take advantage of Jack Cards’ free shipping offer (US addresses only) for all orders placed during the month of November.

Yes, it’s that time of the year again. No need to worry, though, as you can get started on your holiday shopping by checking out the independent crafters and artisans featured in the 2007 Indie Collective Holiday Gift Guide.
There are plenty of shops for all of you paper lovers, but that’s just the beginning. Other featured shop categories include accessories, apparel, artwork & crafts, babies & kids, bath & body, handbags, home accents, and jewelry.

These Glistening Oak Leaf Letterpress Invitations from Hana Hou Productions are absolutely gorgeous! I love the oak leaf beads — not a detail is missed.
I’m continually amazed by what invitation designers are creating. Many independent designers, Hana Hou Productions included, have elevated invitation design to fine art form. Hmm…this gives me ideas, dangerous (and expensive) ideas.

What wonderful, whimsical prints from Wonting * NYC! I love the autumnal color schemes and illustration style of the foxberries (above left) and pumpernickel flower (above right) prints.
Wonting’s artwork is handprinted with a gocco (yay, gocco!) in a limited run. Each unique print is signed and numbered.

Since I know that many of you view the blog through feed readers, I just wanted to post about the launch of the new site design. Nothing too drastic, but the layout has been updated, and I’ve also added advertising options for those interested.
Hope you like it!

Check out these cute Halloween bags from Papyrus. My favorites are the ghost bag and pom pom spider bag. Perfect for Halloween gift giving, and they could easily be used as Halloween candy holders, too.
Papyrus is currently having a 30% off sale on all of their Halloween items, which makes these Halloween bags an even better deal!
